They say the third time is a charm... so here we are! It's my third baby in a row, and I've tried all the things. These are the must-have items to try out, add to your registry, or have ready to rock and roll before your little one makes their big debut! Whether you plan to use breastmilk, formula, or something in between, the following products are my newborn feeding favorites.
I know many people say that the plug-in wall pumps produce more for them, but that was not my experience. I also hated being stuck in the chair, counting down until the pump session was over. Far too busy for that! I found that this pump is reliable, works well, gives a great hands-free option to allow you to be up and about, and best of all - very few parts to clean!
I didn't love how the disposable pads felt. These are soft, reusable, and fit perfectly in any bra to keep you clean and dry!
An actual lifesaver. Instant relief, and safe for baby to be in contact with! I had no idea for years that the other popular cream is meant to be completely wiped off and is not safe for baby to feed with on, or with any remnants of! The more you know...
These provide so much relief instantly for those sore nips, especially early on. They are reusable as well, and can also be put in the fridge for a soothing cooling effect as well.
I've got a few, but this design has been my favorite one for comfort and convenience.
I literally can't sleep if I'm too restricted or uncomfortable, and these maternity bras are soft, but also help keep your girls controlled while holding nursing pads in place.
I like the size and design of these, but their bigger bottle design works well too for mamas who produce more in each pump session.
Hear me out... this may seem unnecessary if you haven't walked this path yet, but I literally had bottles and feeding paraphernalia half-drying on every sink and nearby surface in my house after the chaos of bringing my first baby home. Not only is it not an efficient way to dry things (or completely sanitary?), but it makes everything a bit of a mess too. Put one of these bad boys next to your bedroom sink for easy clean-up after the night feeds, and it will make your days that much easier!
Full disclosure: the bottles I've been using for years were sadly discontinued. (No idea why!) But these would be my second choice.
I've used this brand for years and keep it positioned next to my kitchen sink. Works well and affordable!
Used in conjunction with the aforementioned products, this takes up a small amount of counter space and gets the job done!
I've tried many a bib, and think this one is the fave for me and my little ones.
Another seemingly frivolous purchase until you realize how much you need it. I spent months walking like a drunken sailor throughout the nights to my kitchen to swap out bottles before I thought of putting a mini fridge in my bedroom after my second kid was born. GAME-CHANGER! We keep this right on my dresser and it has made things so much easier. Every minute you get back during the newborn phase counts... whether toward sleep, housework, or doing something for yourself! It's been working well for years now, and stores easily when you outgrow the need for its use in this way. I also know plenty of mamas who like having this in their workplace for milk storage after pumping sessions. Plus, you could always repurpose in an office to keep drinks, in the bathroom for cosmetics, or use on-the-go since it includes car adapter options as well! Another big perk for this specific one: it has both a cold and hot setting! (Great for keeping bottles cold, or heating up before feeding time!)
Just a reminder that I utilize affiliate links, which means I make a small commission from your purchase (which doesn't affect how much you pay).
This helps this mama keep doing what she loves! TYSM in advance for your support! :-)
